True Hope Begins When Illusions End: A Motto for the New Year
First of all a big thank you to all my subscribers who have borne with me in this extended absence (6 months) so that I could complete the second book in the Trilogy of One Idea To Rule Them All. It should be available in January and I will be leaking out more details in the weeks to come, so stay tuned.
In the meantime, I want to share the background behind the motto cited above. Recently, a friend of mine shared with me his fascination over the true story of the survivors of the 1972 plane crash in the Andes Mountains. [See Alive: The Story of the Andes Survivors for details] Huddled around the only working radio left, they were about to hear the worst news possible—the search for survivors was being called off.
“Gifted” with the true understanding of the realities of their situation, they eventually undertook to save themselves. By now my very astute readers, are already sensing the profound application to our times. No political fix is forthcoming, no last minute political savior is riding his horse to the front lines to vanquish the enemies of the people. Trump is NOT making America Great Again. He is continuing the plunder and liquidation of the country, that both parties have aided and abetted for decades.
Understandably, this truth will be rejected by the majority, with a vehemence that borders on outright aggression at times. Moving from “Someone is coming to rescue me” to “Holy Cow, we are on our own,” is frightening and even terrifying— but ultimately liberating. Cutting off the chains of a false illusion frees your mind to examine all sorts of possibilities that you would have rejected previously.
Getting to this place is Propaganda Protection 101
Unfortunately for most people, being jolted awake requires some type of painful lived experience that compels us to move from one category to the other.
Experiencing a health crisis, a significant monetary loss, losing your only means of income or coming to the end of your human resources etc., are at times painful necessities to ignite a questioning spirit and to promote mental “reorganization.”
The wise on the other hand begin their learning process from recognizing anomalies and tracking them to their resolution and/or learning vicariously from the trials of others, and this most importantly includes history.
NEVER has it been more important to know our REAL history AND to be a reader of that history. Simply put, I would estimate that upwards of 90 percent of the online media being consumed, regardless of it being Left, Right or Alt-Media is in some way compromised.
For most of you, I am sure that sounds like a major stretch, but I am more convinced of it then ever, based on my own historical research.
And finally, when the false hopes die, it’s time for “the weak” of this world to rise up to shame the so-called strong, and for “the foolish” of this world to step forward to shame the so-called wise.
For many of you that have been WAITING for someone else to tell you what to do or what can be done, it is TIME. Time to to step forward and accept that it is YOUR responsibility to “walk out of the Andes.”
To this end, I will be trying to host some type of meeting that will double as a study group for the new book AND a workshop for those who personally know they need to do less reading online and more collaborating in the New Year.
