The Funnel: 125 Years of Manufactured Reality
Isn't it time you understood who was writing the script?
Our grasp on REALITY—REAL issues, REAL solutions, AUTHENTIC leaders that tell the truth—was lost through no real fault of our own around the turn of the 20th century.
During that era American entered a “Twilight Zone of Reality,” from which few of us have returned.
At the time, few men were able to see it AND articulate what was actually happening.
Most of the uncritical population barely noticed anything at all; a subtle and slowly rising undercurrent drifting them out to sea. Land, or reality eventually became a distant memory—replaced by narrative and mythology.
One man who saw these issues and did his best to warn the country was George Marion who wrote, The Free Press: A Portrait of a Monopoly.
He understood that commercial control of the media through ownership, advertising and the exorbitant cost of entry and access to the presses was just as devastating as state monopolistic control and much more deceptive because it could easily masquerade as “a Free Press.”
While his book wasn’t published until 1946, the realities that he points to all started to come together at the turn of the 20th century. The technologies to reach large numbers and the growing power of the “selling arts,” as I call them, coalesced to create the perfect storm of danger.
A Russian envoy speaking at a UN conference on Press Censorship cited Marion to make his point that the Western media was just as controlled as the Soviets, but by different entities.
Marion was promptly tarred and feathered by none other than a virtual celebrity of the times, Eleanor Roosevelt, who was speaking at the conference. He was smeared as “socialist,” “communist,” “anti-American,” the Devil-terms of that day.
Marion’s works were self-published. He was forced to create his own publishing house and market his own books through speaking engagements because his works were anathema to the powers that be. He labored ceaselessly to share his message to the world and died young as a result.
The fact is… your “reality” and the subsequent history written to confirm that “reality,” has been controlled for 125 years.
The George Marions of the world and all those like him have been written out of the script—they don’t receive an access pass to the communication platform or what you could call, the stage, owned by the elite.
And neither do I.
It was to the Marions of the world that I dedicated my second book, Masters of Illusion, The Rise of Corporate Social Control.
Additionally, there is still more bad news.
This same group of controllers eagerly create the media opportunities for dissident voices—or alternative media as we would call them.
George Orwell’s book 1984 was written just a few years after Marions, a book almost everyone had a chance to read in high school. The enemy in 1984?
The All-powerful State—not commercial interests, not the American press which was daily and hourly self-selecting your reality—of course not, State controlled media was the only reality to fear.
Commercial control is NOT A THING to be worried about.
Go back to sleep sheepe.
George Marion’s book? Assigned to the dumpster bin of unworthy writings.
George Orwell’s book? A bestseller.
This, of course, isn’t pleasant news. In fact, most “rational” people will resist this revelation with all their might.
Have you already “processed” this uncomfortable bit of truth?
